Screened Topsoil - Bulk Bag Supplies
Topsoil is the upper layer of soil, usually between 2 to 8 inches in depth, that contains most of the ground’s nutrients and fertility. The main nutrients found in topsoil are nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and magnesium, and each has an important role to play in the soil’s fertility. All of these nutrients are naturally found in topsoil, but in varying quantities and quality. They can be added to enrich the soil and increase fertility, whilst also improving the soil’s structure.
Our topsoil comes from ‘as dug’ agricultural and horticultural sources and it is processed using modern screening equipment to remove all large stones and other deleterious materials, such as plant roots, leaves and clay depending on the source.
Screened topsoil benefits from high microbial activity and a good level of nutrients to ensure good establishment of plants and grasses.
This creates a soil that is ideal for flower beds, rockeries, and any garden that needs reinvigorating or where drainage is a problem. It is also ideal for general landscaping, garden renovation, and vegetable patches.
